Chemical and BioChemical ENGINEERING FACULTY

The Division of Engineering is composed of a single faculty, organized into four groups. By virtue of the core program, a number of faculty members from various groups contribute in some fashion or other to the Chemical Engineering Program. However, the following faculty members in particular contribute to the Program by virtue of their experience, expertise and professional interests:

Research: Microfluidics, turbulence, microsensors

J.M. Calo, Professor; Ph.D. Princeton University
Research: Applied chemical kinetics; carbon materials; energy/environmental technology

B. Caswell, Professor; Ph.D., Stanford University
Research: Viscoelastic flows; heat transfer

R.H. Hurt, Professor; Ph.D. M.I.T.
Research: Combustion, carbon materials, energy/environment

J.T.C. Liu, Professor; Ph.D., CalTech Research: Heat and mass transfer, vortices, mixing, environment/energy
